The UAE is also a signatory to a number of international treaties, which provides investors with additional protections.
Golden Visa holders have long-term residency in the United Arab Emirates, which provides greater security and peace of mind, allowing them to invest and develop prosperous, long-lasting careers in the country.
To obtain the Business Visa, the applicant must have 1) a nomination approved by an authorized government incubator in the UAE, 2) be able to substantiate your experience as an entrepreneur, 3) have been a majority shareholder of a startup or a member of its senior leadership, 4) be willing to relocate to the UAE and legally establish a business in one of the Emirates and 5) have a business idea or business plan to bring to life in the UAE. For applicants currently in the UAE, the Golden Visa will cost between AED 2,800 and AED 3,800. For applicants outside of the UAE, the Golden Visa will cost between AED 3,800 and AED 4,800.
For the UAE Investor Visa real estate option, the applicant can acquire a residency permit for 5 years.
The investor must invest in a property of a gross value of not less than AED 5 million and the amount invested in real estate must not be on loan basis. Besides these two requirements, the property must also be retained for a least 3 years.
For the 10-year residency permit for the UAE Investor Visa option, the applicant must invest a minimum of AED 10 million.
The investment may take numerous forms, including 1) A deposit of at least 10 million AED in a domestic investment fund OR 2) Establishing a corporation in the UAE with a minimum capital of 10 million AED OR 3) A partnership in an existing or new company with a minimum share value of AED10 million OR 4) A total investment of at least 10 million AED. In all of these cases, provided that at least 60 percent of the total investment is in industries other than real estate.
This category covers people who have a current project with a minimum capital investment of AED 500,000 or who have clearance from a nationally approved business incubator. The entrepreneur is granted a six-month multiple-entry visa that is extendable for another six months. The visa covers the spouse and children, as well as the partner and three executives.

The number of countries United Arab Emirates passport holders can enter without a visa (i.e. visa-free countries) and those United Arab Emirates passport holders can enter by obtaining a visa on arrival (i.e. visa-on-arrival countries) or an electronic travel authorization is added up to determine the United Arab Emirates passport ranking relative to other global passports (eTA). There are currently 132 visa-free countries for United Arab Emirates passport holders, 39 visa-on-arrival countries for United Arab Emirates passport holders, and 5 eTA destinations. In total, United Arab Emirates passport holders can visit 176 countries without a visa, via visa on arrival, or via an eTA. As a result, the passport of the United Arab Emirates is ranked 17th in the world. Apart from the visa-free and visa-on-arrival countries, there are 53 other countries that require a physical visa or an eVisa for United Arab Emirates passport holders (i.e. visa required countries).
