Indonesia’s long road towards the digital nomad visa

While there was talk of introducing a visa expressly for digital nomads in 2021, these plans were put on hold because to the pandemic’s rising prevalence. Now that we can see the light at the end of this very long tunnel, Indonesia is on its way to enticing even more digital nomads.

Indonesia is already a popular destination for digital nomads, who are most likely in the country on a B211A Business visa. However, this new visa designed exclusively for digital nomads will provide remote workers with greater certainty regarding their identity and tax position.
